WikiCamp
The WikiCamp is a BarCamp-style gathering of wiki consultants, developers, gardeners, users and all people generally interested in (enterprise) wikis on March 6 2010 in Hanover/Germany on the CeBIT fair ground.
Everything is settled: New date is set and the venue is arranged:
- Yes, it's on the CeBIT fair ground, but there will be discussion space and meeting rooms for sessions - no, we must not deal with a noisy and crowded little corner in one of the small halls
- Yes, attending the WikiCamp stays free - if you need a CeBIT ticket to enter the ground on saturday, get in touch, we'll provide you a special code
- Yes, Kongressmedia has arranged for a rebate offering for anyone who planned to get to Frankfurt for the WikiCamp and the E20SUMMIT and who's disappointed about the re-scheduling - enter the code 'wikicamp' on the site and enjoy a steep discount.
- Yes, we're still looking for sponsors, if you want to contribute and get your name and wiki ideas out get in touch
As a user-generated conference WikiCamp is what you make it - the following topics are planned to be discussed:
- discussions on concepts, market offerings und use cases of Enterprise Wiki
- meetup and gathering of the people behind various wiki engines
- exchange of lessons learned - bridging the experiences of both wiki practitioners and consultants
- discussion about the future role of wikis in the context of Enterprise 2.0
Bonding the European Worldwide Wiki Community (now that we're at CeBIT)
WikiCamp is a user-generated conference on March 6 in Hanover/Germany that is set up to provide a big gathering of the wiki community.
Attending WikiCamp is free - ie. there's no admission charge of any kind.
WikiCamp is what you make it - so far we talked to a round of people and have come up with some ideas:
Central is a meetup of wiki-consultants, -developers, -users and all people generally interested in enterprise wikis, who come together for an idea and/or concept development day.
- the people behind various wiki engines can meet up, interact and network
- lessons learned can be exchanged and told, bridging the experiences of both wiki practitioners and consultants
- we’ll discuss the future role of wikis in the context of Enterprise 2.0
- we’re open for more ideas, hints, wishes and proposals, … (go ahead now, this is a wiki free to edit and expand - what do you think?)
